If needed some customers utilize the following Unisoft software feature to detect part numbers that are not in their Mydata/Mycronics library for a PCB assembly ( PCBA ) design that they're working on and then utilize the Unisoft software to assist in creating those missing library part number entries. For the different models of the Mydata/Mycronics machines the following process or something close is used. Please contact Unisoft directly for details.
OVERVIEW STEPS:
THE PROCESS:
Using the Unisoft software in the normal method you import the CAD file in the BOM and generate a mount file for your Mydata/Mycronics. This mount file is either a .PCB for TPSys or for the older Directline a .MNT file.
The Unisoft created mount file is imported into the Mydata/Mycronics machine.
The Mydata/Mycronics machine will detect part numbers it doesn't recognize.
Then the missing part number(s) information is exported as a .GEN file.
Example of a .GEN file export with underlying data.
The Unisoft .CMP Component Library feature is started and the .GEN file above is imported.
The software detects the missing part numbers that are not in the Mydata/Mycronics library.
Next the Unisoft software presents a display with the missing part numbers.
Then each of the missing part numbers is presented with much of the data automatically filled out such as C00, C01, C02, and C07 from the CAD and the BOM information already imported into Unisoft. The operator can add additional information as required.
The Unisoft software then asks where to save a .CMP file it will be creating which contains the library information for the missing part numbers.
The .CMP file is then imported into the Mydata/Mycronics machine.
After the step above, at this point the Mydata/Mycronics library should
now contain all part numbers for the PCB. So if we did a test and we
import the normal Mydata/Mycronics mount file created earlier into the Mydata/Mycronics
machine then we should see no missing part numbers detected.
At this point the operator continues their normal assembly setup on the Mydata/Mycronics machine.
